What's this about "Megan's Knees?" Currently I'm "out of shape" but in yesterday's dance class I can STILL drop it real low and bring it back up. Yep, and our youngest daughter is twenty-eight. Even back in 2013 I was talking about keeping your body supple enough to pop those knees up and down. I was saying that if you could do the Pop, Lock & Drop dance you were in good shape. Remember? Have you heard of that song/dance? Here's a clip of me doing the dance: Pop, Lock & Drop It! How do I keep my knees supple?
I drink an anti-inflammatory concoction every day that keeps me agile, limber, and super bouncy. Inflammatory foods tend to make us stiff and achy. So I make it a point to consume anti-inflammatory foods daily as well as be mindful about avoiding joint-stiffening foods like: white sugar, white flour, white starches to begin with. Here the recipe for special daily concoction that contributes to my knees staying supple: Click the color links to see what I use. 1 dropper full of 3000 mg Thymoquinone [Nigella Sativa: Black Seed Extract, not oil] or 1 dropper full of my Cannibinoid Cocktail "Entourage." Last Quarter Moon
Whew! Sharing daily notes on my personal culture of beauty "mostly daily" has been a challenge lately. Mama's been busy, productive and whirling all sort and form of power and magic offline.
NEW MOON The third New Moon of 2017 is tonight at 9:57 PM Central Standard Time in the sign of Aries and we're still in a Venus Retrograde. This is the "purrr"fect time to get clear on who we are and how we express love and beauty in our lives and in the world. This is an auspicious time to tap into your Divine Voice and declare your intention for manifestation for the next twenty-eight moon cycle. ARIES = "I AM" Aries energy is all about the expression of ''I AM" energy so beautifully exemplified by Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin. The freedom of being, doing, and having whatever the *%*# you desire and giving zero flips about what others think about it. On Planet Aries "Everything is possible." The true superwoman energy. INVITATION: TONIGHT WITH ME Take advantage of this profound opportunity to manifest M & Ms (magic and miracles) with a New Moon Ritual. This evening our SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES Facebook Community will engage in a "Manifesting Magic & Miracles" SHIMMY CIRCLE at 9 PM Central. In preparation for our session I'm going to give you a bit of a hook-up. "NO BURDEN IS HEAVY WHEN EVERYONE LIFTS." Since the beginning of 2017, I guide a secret community of women who are the rebels, mavericks, creators, and humanitarians of our society to manifest their goals and visions in the area of beauty, health . . . LIFE! Ever wish someone would ask you about that goal you made to make sure you got it done? Well, we do that with a lot of other goodies, like impromptu oracle readings, monthly beauty dossiers, etc. So, we're on the tail-end of a month-long "Loving My Beautiful Bodacious Body" series in which members have gotten twelve out of sixteen tutorials about how to integrate beauty movement rituals in their day-to-day. Moving your body takes energy and produces energy. Energy begets energy. If you've had stagnation in your cash, love and creativity flow then perhaps it's time to "Shake Your Honey Pot" beautiful. From your pocketbook (both of them) to your magnetism (Ms. Honey Pot drawin' in those bees) this tutorial, if done as intended will attract cash your way and lubricate your ability to manifest the desires of your heart. 100% Guarantee. Let's put it to the test. This North African dance move commonly referred to as "Belly Dance" is beneficial for your "lady parts," "yoniverse," "celestial garden" and every term that refers to your female reproductive system. With regular (a day or two a week) belly dancing you'll not only ease discomfort and the length of days on your menstrual "moon" time, but also amplify your magnetism. How do you say "bees to honey?" Yup! You'll be stirring up that feminine sweetness within. Make sure to hydrate after your session because if you do it right, you will break a bit of a sweat. This is a private video. The password is: shimmy IN joy! LMBBB Part Twelve: Shimmy from * Akua Auset * on Vimeo. So come on and work that power and magic like the Child of Possibility, Aries. Don't be stingy with the SHINE. The Universe and Heavens are ours. What are you manifesting in this moon cycle? Thank you for reading. If you feel generous, SHARE. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 30 of 2/12 Moons Waning Crescent "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9 Apparently the richest and most influential people on the planet are in the business of war, drugs and sex trafficking using any means necessary. photo: heartofashepherd.com Let Us Not Become Weary While Doing Good Somehow our gifts, talents, abilities, life's work, purpose and/or calling are the things that bring us alive, put us in the flow, the zone, vibes us up . . . If you're truly occupying your day with the things that invigorate, exhilarate, and refresh you then it's a wise deduction that you'll never tire of it. The goodness in you must be expressed, it cannot be denied. If you keep focusing on the LOVE for what you do then the results and rewards become a non-issue. For At The Proper Time We Will Reap A Harvest As one who is certified in Urban Sustainable Horticulture as well as coming from a family of farmers and gardeners, on a DNA level I'm clear that manifestation, birthing, and sowing a harvest has a natural rhythm and cycle. MAKE sure the seed is viable. ANALYZE the soil for suitability to seed. TILL the soil. PLANT the seed at the appropriate time and environment. WATER the seed and soil. FEED the seed and soil. EXPOSE the seed to light. PRUNE i.e. get rid of any weeds. REAP your harvest when the time is right. If We Do Not Give Up So as you see there are proper steps to the sowing of a harvest. There is also a proper cycle to this process. If you give up or quit before the process is complete, no matter how long it takes you will not bring to life the very thing you've been called to do. And if it was an IN-SPIRED (Spirit) action then it's your responsibility to see it through. I know it seems that the rich get richer, the bad people get away with murder and the good guy/girl never wins but . . . this isn't always true. Be encouraged that if you utilize the laws of the Universe to manifest, the Universe has no judgment. If you follow the recipe to a "T" you get what you set out to get. It's like baking a cake, if you follow a great recipe, you'll get a great cake. It doesn't matter if you're an evil "arsehole" or a holy saint. You must follow the directions. If we desire to cross the finish line and experience the desires of our hearts we must follow the rhythm and cycle of harvesting. It's time to get your hands "dirty" so get to it. Here's to our über-beauty and health! ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 5 of 1/12 Moons Waxing Crescent What was your mother or father's greatest advice they ever gave you? Mine? "Just be yourself." I first heard, "People prefer the devil they know over the angel they don't." on the show "Touched By An Angel" a bunch of years ago. That quote is designed to speak of our resistance to change even if that change would represent something beneficial to us. This quote popped into my head this morning in regard to this topic - Just Be Yourself. We've seen clearly in our political climate that a great deal of people would rather deal with a "flawed" human being that was clear about who they are, plain and simple than the vague and untrustworthy. It was third grade and I was uncomfortable in my new class. My mother said: "Just be yourself." At such a young age, I didn't have a clue about what she meant or who I was. Decades later, it's the most brilliant advice I've ever received. If we desire RESPECT, LOVE, AFFINITY with others we must be TRUE to ourselves. There can be no respect, love or real affinity without us presenting our raw, unfiltered, true selves (over time, not in one sitting). After all, respect, love and affinity are developed from TRUTH. Without truth there is no integrity, nothing to stand on. Truth doesn't mean you have to be mean or unkind, it just means that you honor who you are, what you require and desire. Even if you experience kick-back from others, they will subconsciously admire, feel safe with and desire your presence in their lives because you feel SOLID - you have integrity. People pleasers feel warm and fuzzy serving a purpose in the hospitality industry but in real life, in real one-on-one connections TRUTH is the glue, TRUTH is the magnet, TRUTH is the flow, the rhythm, TRUTH is home. How can you FEEL someone or something if the truth of them/it isn't there? They are just saying and doing what they think you want to hear and do. Even though we may enjoy the experience, in the background, in our heart, something will just not resonate . . . because we sense something's not quite right, or true. If you're an *sshole, be an *sshole. If you don't like something, say so. If you don't want to do something, you don't have to do it. Speak with kindness, yet clear, concise and straightforward. We tend to feel secure when we know EXACTLY what is what, while ambiguity makes us feel uncertain and insecure. If you're playing nicey-nice, being a doormat, a people pleaser, a brown-noser, a politician, you're being an imposter, you're living a lie and no one is loyal, would die for or would knowingly dedicate their life to a liar. I had some tough times in third grade and I ultimately had to neutralize some bullies that teased and taunted me. When this nice, pretty little girl showed her other side in an after-school fight, it was all smiles and respect from that moment on. Take the time to get to know who you are, what you like and don't like, what you require and desire. Be unapologetically you, then and only then will you find your true tribe, your true fans and it will be worth all those that took offense because you honored your truth and self first. Yes, we may complain, protest, kick and scream all the way but we stick with the "devil" that we KNOW. Thanks for reading. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 4 of 1/13 Moons Waxing Crescent
The DEATH Train
We can't even pretend not to notice all the death around us in the world. It's like there's a big party happening in another realm and people are quickly making their exit to get there. As a little girl, my relationship with death was knowing that when people died they would be buried underground in a casket. What a scary thought in my young mind. Surely nothing I'd have to deal with anytime soon. But it created an uncomfortable feeling about dying until recently . . . DEATH? NAH The idea of death isn't what it used to be to me as a young girl, it's nothing to run from or be afraid of when you see life metaphysically; that we are co-creators of our experience here and "there" and that we have freewill to power that experience. I'm not leaving this physical realm until I choose to. (Yup. You did indeed hear my "black" woman sass.) When I hear that someone has "died," if they were close to me or influential in my life, it's more that I will miss their physical presence in this Earth realm. I don't see it as some tragic thing unless it was through tragic or painful means that they left this realm. On some level I believe that we approve the experiences that we have because perhaps the soul, the God force within desires to experience the human contrast from it's omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent being of nothingness. Make sense? Our attachment to life kind of goes away when we discover that EVERY thing is life, there's no such thing as death just the transformation of form. We are but particles of energy and energy is not created nor destroyed it just transforms it's expression. Hmmm . . . . . . just my theory inspired by much experience, observation and clues given by others. Abraham (the non-physical consortium channeled through Esther Hicks) offers that physical death can be one's desire to re-emerge into life freshly or to express in the non-physical realm. I've wondered if the soul that was Bob Marley has re-emerged and what he's up to. Could it be we never truly die, we just transform form, like relationships? MY DEMON. MY ANGEL. We come together. We part company. But our presence in that person's life and their presence in ours never goes away. They become part of our beautiful soul ecology, even if the experience or their presence brought pain or dishonored you. The gift of your co-mingling is the wisdom you gained or the contrast of what you desire to have you desire and manifest another experience. Our apparent demons become our unlikely angels. Like King Alobar in the novel "Jitterbug Perfume" going through extensive lengths to discover the secret of longevity or August Wilson's film character Troy in "Fences" in a duel with death, people fear it, avoid it and run away from it. Seems though the faster you run from death, aging, anything for that matter, it will chases you down until you get to see that it was all an illusion because there is only life and the transformation of it. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosever shall lose his life shall preserve it. Luke: 17:33 GIVE ME A REASON TO LIVE I've noticed often, but not always, partners who have been together a long, long time will pass away shortly after their departed beloved. I've also read that many die shortly after they retire from their life's work. ("Just The Way You Are" is playing now....love that song.) Realizing this, when my mother retired from forty-seven years of being an educator in the area of Life Skills for young people, I was focused on inspiring her to create a future that she was excited to live into. The origins of this note was inspired by a dear si"star" who is part of our SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES Facebook community. She messaged me that she was in the hospital in a life or death situation. Of course, I honor her choice to be here with us or to graduate to another realm, however I wanted to encourage her to focus on an exciting future that she could live into. A FUTURE TO LIVE INTO While being present is the key, I'm CLEAR on the necessity of having a future to live into. Having something you look forward to, something you're excited and passionate about that has you pop out of the bed each morning. Something that becomes Your Greatest Love Affair. "When you give up your dream, you die." says Nick, Alex's love interest in "Flashdance." Yeah, like that. Having a future to live into builds our WILL to live. That fire in our belly that keeps us in action and powering through. Every one of us, desires to feel that our existence matters and is necessary to someone or something. When that is missing, perhaps we get overly wrapped up in the propaganda and distractions of the world, believing their REAL. (shaking my head) We really believe the hype sometimes. It's "Just An Illusion" (by Imagination.) SERVE + CONNECT I'm CLEAR that when we have a purpose through service and connection to people and the beauty of this world THIS is what creates LONGEVITY or LIFE. It's not about avoiding or fearing death but to LIVE, really LIVE, with passion, with intimacy, with brazen honesty ('cuz that people pleasing, ego-stroking really doesn't attract the best that life has to offer for us). If you're ill, focus on healing and loving on your Self as well as what will be your next adventure in expressing your purpose through service. If you haven't discovered your purpose, just serve, provide a solution to someone's problem and you'll figure it out. Don't be stingy with the goodies. And you've got a lot of goodies mama/man. The Death Train that soul's have been hopping on lately I feel is actually a RE-BIRTHING of humanity. "Exiting Through The Gift Shop" to enter the front door of a Golden Age in this Aquarian Age. Perhaps by providing a mirror of death, we're being presented with an apparent contrast inspiring us to REALLY live. We can cheat death, because death doesn't REALLY exist. It only exist in language as everything does (a Landmark Education distinction). While we slip in and out of realms, domains and galaxies, we are eternal. Focus on contributing to others, serving others and adding value to others on such a level that you're missed when you choose to slip out of this party into another. Thanks for reading. I appreciate you. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 20 of 13/13 Moons Waning Gibbous

#iAmHer360 speaks to seeing other women as yourself and the celebration of every way that any woman chooses to express herself. Today we continue with another chat in the #iAmHer360: SuperWomen & Goddesses Series with Indian-born Sharmila Varadarajan. Across the seas from Chicago to India while she's on holiday.
After an arranged marriage by her parents in her homeland, Sharmila came to America twenty years ago with an education in Cardiac Rehabilitation & Exercise Science. Although she looks twenty-five, she's actually been happily married to her perfect man for twenty-five years. I'm suspecting she may be a vampire. ;o) We met at a mutual friend's women's luncheon where pretty much all the women in attendance were married . . . happily for decades. I was inspired and excited that this was even possible in this day and age. Like-minded women who come together on a regular basis to bond.
Love . . . Indian Style
T H E C H A T H I G H L I G H T S On Life's Rough Patches "Life is just beautiful. It's taken such a nice path... it's given me a lot of mental strength, even though certain patches were rough I think that gave strength. So I took the strength instead of the negativity from that." No Children but . . . "I accept that this is how my life is so I'm going to take it as it's given to me and I think that has made me a really happy person." On Getting Outside Your Circle "I try to read, try to listen to people, see the world and their outlook. This has changed me quite a bit. I see if you only stay in a circle you only know that, but if you move outside or travel and see the world, the people out there, you learn so much. There's so much out there which we hardly know. We just know a bit of it." Her Motto On Caring For Self First "I take care of myself first. The "inner me" is what I think the beauty for every woman is and we need to take care of that part. If that's taken care of I think the outside beauty comes automatically and I truly believe in that. It's inside first. Working in cardiac rehabilitation, I believe in prevention. Whatever is in store for us, that will be there, whatever God has given us. But our duty is to take care of this body. We need to cherish that first and everything else will just follow. Her Advice For Women To Be In Relationships Where They Feel Cherished & Appreciated "First of all any marriage at the beginning needs a lot of work, understanding, love, care - all that has to be done. "You just have to stand up for each other's likings or give respect, space. I truly, truly believe in that. If my husband wants to do something I don't discourage him, I say "Please go for it!" That way, he has his space and I have my space. I believe that's truly the success of the marriage. I have not stopped him and then we have our time. There's his time, my time and our time. It can't just be our time, all the time. It's just not possible. I think everybody needs a space where you have to think how do you evolve as a person all along and not be there in the person's face all the time. I think that's one of the best things I've found in our relationship which has worked just magically. I tell my husband to "go enjoy and then you can come back and we'll be together. Whatever you want to do, go for it!" He gives me my space and I give him his space and then we do a lot of things together. We travel a lot, we talk about everything pretty much, our day-today things. That's probably what has kept our marriage going from my end, but if you ask my husband he would probably say a different thing." On Resolving Conflicts, Confrontations, Confusion "If there is anything that bothers us, we would talk and settle it right then and there that night and not carry it over and spoil the next day because today is today and tomorrow is tomorrow. If in this moment it didn't work, clarify it and get it over with, like today, not carry it over tomorrow and feel bad for it, argue about it, fight about it, nag about it. I just can't do that." On The Benefits Of Arranged Marriage "The difference about our gathering of friends is that it is a group of culturally like-minded women coming together. The roots of it are important, that's where we all come from, where the roots are much more stronger. That's probably where we're all coming from. We're all educated. It was an arranged marriage for us, as it was with my parents and grandparents. You kind of accept the person completely, there's no choice after all. You have to adjust, forgive...that's what we've been taught. It goes both ways. We all have good men in our life and that is a blessing. It's all give and take, that's what they taught us. We are happy with what we have and we try to make what we have better all the time." On Respect, Support & Hardship "There's a lot of closeness because we are away from home and we like to hang onto each other because it's the only family you've got. When you're away from home you kind of understand the person more because you've gone through hardship a lot more without anybody's support. Because you're away from home the only support you have is your husband, or your wife. So you start building respect for each other over a period of time is what I've found. We've encouraged each other during hardships. We've seen in and out of each other without anybody else being there so I think that creates a very strong bond." Thanks for reading and listening. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 8 of 12/13 Moons Waxing Gibbous
In this series I ask some of my most beautiful, creative, wealthy, entrepreneur "girl crushes" how they create a life where they are cherished, appreciated and paid top dollar for their genius in their respective areas of talent and mastery.
The #iAmHer360 series is an affirmation and celebration that the beauty, brilliance and benevolence in other women is also within us as well as having compassion for aspects of ourselves that give us the experience of various levels of pain, fear and isolation. At the end of the day, the health and consciousness of the planet lies in the health and consciousness of the si"star" hood, how we care for ourselves and each other. I'm committed to the idea that women set the standard to be cherished, appreciated and paid top dollar for their power and genius.

♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 1 of 12/13 Moons New Moon in Sagittarius

T H E C H A T H I G H L I G H T S 4:05 min. Working With Ms. Ross "Larger-than-life figure who is down-to-earth, fabulous, patient and regular. At the end of the day, people are people, it's the way others treat them that makes them seem like their different, unapproachable and untouchable." 7:24 min. Wisdom For My Daughter "I'd tell my daughter to be a thinker, be your own unique person, don't subscribe to what everyone else is doing. Be confident. Be educated. Be fierce. Don't be like the rest." "People judge you by the way that you look. Always carry yourself in a way understanding that others are always going to be looking at you and they're going form a perception of you." "Always dress for the job you want, not for the job you have. Perception . . . persona is everything . . . it's all about what you project." 8:31 min. Daily Declarations "Make positive declarations over your life everyday. Make a list of what you want to see change and improve in your life. Everyday recite these declarations and soon it'll start manifesting itself." 10:00 min. Who Everyone Needs In Their Life "Everyone needs someone in their life that's going to tell them the truth. Align yourself with someone who's going to be authentically real with you." ON Haters "Everyone has an opinion and everybody's not going to like you and everybody's not going to hate you. It's just how life is." "If you're down and out, first of all you've got to believe that you are not what people say you are. You've got to believe in yourself. You have to know that. When somebody tells you something that makes you feel a certain way, "consider the source." 15:50 min. Girl Stop Lookin' Like An Auntie "In this day and age there's no reason for anyone to be fat and ugly. You can look like a celebrity, on a budget. When you look better you feel better." "I see a whole lot of women out here lookin' like aunties. You don't have to look like an auntie, I mean look at Diana Ross, Diahann Carroll, Tina Turner, Sophia Loren, Sheryl Lee Ralph." "You don't have to look like an auntie but you have to be willing to be uncomfortable to get the change . . . most people that are mediocre, that are average, that are not disciplined will not endure that part that it takes, that separates you from the rest."

♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 27 of 11/13 Moons Waning Crescent The Spirit of Order calls us to honor the rhythm of the cosmos and its enduring predictability. The Spirit of Chaos calls us to honor beingness and allowing of this moment. There's a time for order and there's a time for chaos. When we bring them together interdependently, there is a marriage which brings creation. In every spiritual school of thought we are invited to walk in the beauty of balance. The electromagnetic Universe (feminine) that we live in is governed by the universal law of Maat which brings order. Maat is an ancient goddess from the most ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) tradition. The Spirit of Maat represents order, truth, balance, harmony and justice. Maat has her laws (universal) and those laws have been interpreted by Tehuti, the god of wisdom mathematically (Maat). The most ancient Egyptians were guided by these laws in their daily 42 Declarations of Innocence. Apparently prior to foreign influences and invasion, the most ancient Egyptians maintained a Maatian civilization that lived in peace for thousands of years with no need for police. My friend Kajara NiaYaa NebtHet wrote a book called "Light As A Feather: 42 Laws of Maat For Children" on this topic for children. I digress. The bottom line is that being alarmed out of your sleep in the morning and popping out of bed to put out fires, meet deadlines and be pulled by someone else's train all day is not going to create a life that you deserve where you are cherished, appreciated and compensated on every level. Before Michael Jordan ever stepped out on the court to perform the superhuman feats that he was able to do time and time again, he had a pre-game ritual. I perceive every day of my life as stepping out on the court to play so I also have a pre-game ritual. My "pre-game" ritual is based on the things that I require to be prepared to play at my highest capability and to perform superhuman feats that I'm able to do time and time again. A couple of days ago, I hosted a LIVE Facebook event and the women on the call unanimously admitted to putting EVERYONE else's requirements and desires before their own requirements and desires. Some might see forsaking your own needs as being a saint or sweet. Being a martyr for others may give you saint status, but at the end of the day it doesn't work because it's unsustainable. At some point you will burnout and crash. And holistically speaking, in every case (wife, mother, employee, entrepreneur) we set the standard of how others will cherish, appreciate and compensate us as well as be influenced as to how they will conduct their own lives. How we care for ourselves and live our lives has a domino effect on our relationships, families, community and culture. Women are the enduring example and first teacher in every context we exist in. If you expect to live in an environment where each person is cherished and appreciated in their relationships, as well as be paid top dollar for their abilities then YOU'VE/WE'VE got to set the standard. On Sunday, 6th November, from 2 to 4 PM, I'll be hosting a FREE Workshop: "How To Create Your Daily Healing Beauty Ritual." If you would like to attend in-person or online, please send me an email ([email protected]) or text (312.566.7506) as soon as possible, NOW. Until then begin to GET CLEAR on what it is you require daily to really perform at your best everyday and get it in BEFORE heading out to save the world. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 24 of 10/13 Moons Waning Crescent
"You Must Set The Standard."
PLEASE STOP AT :45 seconds then continue on to the note.
You can watch the rest of the video later, because today's note is all about the first :45 seconds of this video. "You Must Set The Standard" is about setting the standard for all relationships in our lives by doing one simple thing.
Here's the transcript of the first 45 seconds: Mind if I ask you a question? How did you end your day yesterday, then how did you begin this day? The reason I ask is that there are so many women who routinely roll out of bed every morning and look up and it's 1 o'clock in the afternoon to find they forgot to eat...but yet the children, the husband, the boss and the clients have all been taken care of. If that's you, you KNOW that's not going to work for long. If you expect to be cherished and appreciated in your relationships, paid top dollar for your abilities then YOU'VE got to set the standard. I'm Akua Auset of akua-auset.com. My name Akua means "the sweet messenger" and my zone of genius is facilitating transformation. I've been given one job to do, and it's a very sacred job and that's to inspire women and girls to be magical and powerful - because our marriages, our children, every relationship in our community depends on it. HOW DO YOU END AND BEGIN YOUR DAYS? In tomorrow's note, I'm going to go into more about this topic. THIS EVENING at 7 pm CST, I'm going to do a LIVE Facebook Event in our SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES community about how to you end and begin your days. I'd love to hear from you on this topic, so set your alerts and alarms to join us at 7 pm CST. CLICK THE IMAGE above to join our community and to attend the event this evening. This Last Quarter Moon week is a good time to let go of habits, behaviors and things in our lives that don't work for us. Let's begin that letting go process. SEE YOU TONIGHT! So . . . whether you followed directions and stopped the video at 45 seconds or not, I'll explain what this video is for. For the last month, I've been part of a Mindset Alchemy™for Female Entrepreneurs course facilitated by one of my favorite clients: Tracy Neely of TracyNeely.com. We met when I was hired to "d0" her face for her promotional photo shoot. Gorgeous right? She's wearing A U S E T : B E A U T Y cosmetics.
. . . ever see "The Matrix?" If you're in MY tribe and orbit I'm sure you have: Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, The Oracle, Agent Smith. When I first saw the film I found it fascinating that The Oracle, "THE prophet who helps free the humans with her foresight and wisdom" was located deep in "the hood." The Black Divine Feminine leading people back to themselves, their source of power is nothing new, but is in Maat (order). It's like going home to Mama to restore yourself. The caterpillar was never the destiny of the butterfly. All things come from God (good), all things are destined to return to God (good), and there are many paths to God (good). In the METAMOORPHOSE community, we utilize the healing beauty arts as a gateway for those who seek personal transformation. The caterpillar was never the destiny of the butterfly. As human being is not our destiny, but the Hero within us. We are the restoration of the Beloved Community.
HEALING WISDOM OF AFRICA What I learned from Malidoma Some in his book "The Healing Wisdom of Africa," is that people in the West suffer because they don't have four things: 1) who they are 2) why they are here 3) a community to affirm those gifts and 4) a community with with to share those gifts. If every human being had those four things in place, as well as nourishment from high vibe food, we would experience a whole different kind of reality. I know because it's been done before and it exists even today. GIVE On the last New Moon I received an oracle to "GIVE," and so I am going to obey Spirit and have begun to follow that direction by opening up my private beauty bungalow and wellness temple to the community with regular hours. I've been looking at properties to purchase with land but I felt let's just get started where we are and just build from there. After years of serving our community through various programs and courses, we now have a physical location where METAMOORPHOSE community and invited guests are welcome to restore, heal and amp up with our next level practitioners, artists and mystics. Sip tea and take beauty shots while shopping to restock your beauty and medicine bag. Yesterday was the first day open to the community. Most of you reading ARE outside of Chicago, so we'll be hosting LIVE streaming courses and events so don't feel left out. BACK FAT
Over the last four years I put on about fifteen to twenty pounds. Until then I'd been pretty much the same size since high school. In the last couple of months I've released ten to fifteen pounds, 2.5 inches off my hips and waist, and my back fat is gone! I knew something had to give. I didn't recognize myself. I NEVER had back fat until the holidays last year. That had to go! People have always said how small I am, then it stopped. I just recently heard it again. Thank goodness. DRUGS & COMFORT I figured that the weight gain had a great deal to do with comforting myself during these years of major transition (empty nest, moving, career transformation, etc.). Walking into the unknown without family close by and the feeling of isolation drove me to reach out for yummy comfort in the form of food. I don't drink coffee or alcohol, smoke cannabis, or otherwise do any kind of drugs. Those things have no appeal to me whatsoever, never have really . . . but have you met Lola Yum Yum, my alter ego? "What ever Lola wants, Lola gets." [Sara Vaughn] FOOD: MY LOVER Speaking of harmful drugs, when I descend into my junky food craving, my pantheon of lovers are diverse: that plain donut, crispy bacon, a properly made pizza and why did my formerly veggie sister take me to Uncle J's BBQ over the holidays last year? Although I've never proclaimed myself to be a vegan or vegetarian, I eat a pretty life-honoring, plant-based menu and went about sixteen years without eating chicken, beef or pork. Just because I felt better eating this way, but "Yo! . . . " months later, I'm STILL thinking about how damn good those ribs were and I'm not even a rib girl. Did I mention how good they were? TA-TA BACK FAT! So how did I release those inches off my body and melt that back fat? I MOVED MY ASS. Yup! Every day for about thirty minutes to two hours for twenty-eight days, give or take a few days because I got sick (detox symptoms). I knew that just cleansing wasn't going to melt and sculpt my body the way I desired so I followed a fitness regimen by Tracy Anderson who I respect because she has revolutionized body transformation for women by focusing on the accessory muscles. This was the first time in my life I worked out at this level of intensity and regularity. Initially I slept a lot and it was time consuming but the results are so worth it. I'm back in clothes I couldn't get over my hips. I feel like myself again. WHOO HOO!!! A combination of cardio and muscle strengthening was the key. Cardio melts the fat while muscle strengthening sculpts your body. You require BOTH to get a toned and slim look. I ended up taking a month break due to illness i.e. healing and a million other things (thank goodness I maintained my weight release and size). I'm Day Two into starting up again to finish powerfully and to get back on the beautiful rhythm I was on. I'm an inch away from reaching my goal. BLAST YOUR ARSE OFF THE COUCH! Since people love tips, tricks and hacks ;o), here are some of the things that help me to get moving again after being kidnapped by the couch.
These five actions are JUST to get you off the couch, to put down the bag of chips and signal to your body something different is going down. Once you finally get your body moving again, I highly recommend checking out Tracy Anderson's work. You can sample her a bit through YouTube but I would go ahead and invest in her book The 30-Day Method. I'll be incorporating her fitness program with my Organic Beauty Detox this fall throughout my annual Winter Solstice Observance and the 2017 New Year. If you're interested in joining us reach out to me on Facebook or email me: [email protected]. We'll be meeting weekly at my Wellness Temple (which I'll tell you about tomorrow) and yes we'll be LIVE STREAMING for those of you not in Chicago.
Progress Photos: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3. I'll post the final progress photo soon.
Send me a message if you're down for your most powerful transformation. We're going to reach your body, beauty, health and wellness goals - TOGETHER. Remember this is the time when the sleeping giants awaken and the metaphysician, superwoman and goddess RISE.

LOVE YOUR BREASTS
Because we are metaphysicians who work universal law, superwomen that power in possibility and goddesses who inspire life in everything we touch, we are diverting our attention away from the focus on breast cancer and concentrating on loving our breasts with "Love Your Breasts" month. We know that what we focus on is what will will manifest so instead of a focus on cancer, breast or otherwise let us focus intently on loving our breasts and doing the things that contribute to the care and health of our breasts. I'm going to invite women, girls and men to do five things to love their breasts and the breasts of the women they love: 1. GIVE THANKS + DECLARE Women stand in the mirror with your bare breasts, hold them in your hands and give thanks for healthy, vital breasts that they have the ability to nourish children. Declare that you will appreciate and care for them by making sure to consume foods and products that will give life to your body temple. Men you can love your Beloved's breasts too by holding them in your hands, kissing them while giving thanks and declaring the health of her breasts as well. 2. INSPECT YOUR BEAUTY BAG Go through all of your cosmetics, beauty, body care products and inspect the ingredients to make sure you're not consuming toxic ingredients which get into your bloodstream even faster applied to the skin than eating food. If you've discarded the box with the ingredients listed you can most likely Google the ingredients. Visit thehbac.org to obtain a list of the most common toxic ingredients beginning with identifying parabens: methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben, butylparaben, etc. in your products. 3. BREATH DEEPLY DAILY. Stress is the top health destroyer. The way to neutralize the effects of stress on our bodies is to engage in deep-controlled breathing at least three times a day: upon rising, before retiring for bed and during the day when you feel stressed. 4. ELIMINATE WHITE SUGAR + HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP If stress is the top health destroyer then consuming white refined sugar and all forms of refined or simple sugar is biting at its heels. Cancer and parasites love sugar so replace all forms of refined sweetener with raw, whole and complex forms of sugar: raw honey, raw agave, fruit, etc. 5. GREEN UP! Every single day get some living greens into you. Be it an avocado, salad, green juice, blue-green algae, liquid chlorophyll. Get. Your. Green. On. SHARE & TWEET IT UP While You Love Those Breasts Up Men & Women. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 6 of 10/13 Moons Waxing Crescent Moon If happy girls are the prettiest girls (Audrey Hepburn) and taking care of myself is the ultimate cosmetic (Akua Auset) then achieving a state of peace and wellness must be my foremost beauty regimen.
MALNOURISHED It's nothing new that people suffer silently with depression, anxiety and panic, addictions, anger, schizophrenia, all sort and form of mental illness. Since peace is our natural state that must become the standard for living if we are ever to be happy and well. When you violate the laws of nature and the laws of our biology things go awry. As a beauty naturopath I have studied, researched and personally found it to be true that often emotional, mental imbalances can occur when we are malnourished. Malnourished in America? Yes. But I am a thick girl. Yes and still you can be malnourished. People can eat, eat and eat while at the same time remaining malnourished. If the food you're consuming has no nutritional value, then the substances you're eating just becomes a form of your entertainment, not your sustenance, vitality or longevity. If we desire quality of life, we must eat life to live. Food with living enzymes, elemental and mineral value. MENTAL HEALTH I've eaten nutritional yeast for years and it began with my desire to get a vegan source of the B-complex which is a necessary component of our mental health and wellness. Every part of the coconut is basically God's gift to hueman being. A tablespoon of the once vilified coconut oil daily has been known to reverse symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease. Eating anti-depressing leafy greens daily provides complex carbs, fats, proteins, and minerals and I know for myself if I've got a yummy dressing in the wings, my desire to eat a salad goes way up! Here's such a recipe. INjoy! PP (Pretty + Peaceful) Dressing i.e. Mental Health Dressing 1/2 c. bragg's nutritional yeast 1/4 c. raw coconut oil 1/2 c. tamari, liquid aminos or *coconut liquid aminos (it will be less salty and a bit sweet) 1/2 c. organic apple cider vinegar 2 to 3 cloves of garlic (2 if large, 3 if small/medium) 1 1/4 c. cold-pressed sunflower or extra virgin olive oil (try both to see which taste you prefer) cayenne pepper to taste * 1/4 tsp. pink himalayan or sea salt PUT everything in the blender except the oil. BLEND and slowly add the oil. STORE in refrigerator. DOSAGE: 1 - 2 TBSP. daily on a big green salad. SHARE + TWEET "I'm having mental health dressing for dinner tonight!" far and wide for the mental health, peace and progress of ourselves, family, friends, community and world. ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 4 of 10/13 Moons Waxing Crescent Moon "Forgiveness is my beauty secret." - Liz, Pat Perkins' mama I ran into career advancement mentor Pat Perkins yesterday, one of my 9 1/2 Weeks: The METAMOORPHOSE Project alumni while having lunch with my beautiful mother. We were speaking of longevity, staying vivacious and beautiful. Pat stopped me in my tracks when she so eloquently spoke of her beautiful mother's ultimate beauty secret, forgiveness. Forgiveness is a tough feat for many people. As a practitioner of holistic beauty I can tell you that stress is the number one health and beauty destroyer. Your food doesn't even digest properly under stress i.e. fight or flight mode. PEACE & LOVE Peace is our natural state, so holding grudges, blame, pain, anger and all sort and form of anything that isn't peace is the worst thing you can do if you want to live a life of radiant health, natural beauty and financial prosperity. I really believe that each person is doing the very best that they can and that we all require and desire the same thing: LOVE! . . . in all its aspects of experience. This realization gives me a healthy helping of compassion when the actions of others are hurtful, bizarre and confusing. Optimistically I ponder, what if the people that have been the greatest villains and abusers in my life are actually my greatest teachers and blessing? SOWING & REAPING Although I feel transformation and growth are possible without pain and discomfort, the qualities I've developed making it to the other side of pain and disappointment have expanded my consciousness and wisdom on a level I wouldn't trade. We live in a universe governed by laws including the law of cause and effect. I am clear that we will reap a harvest of the things we sow every time, so I can go on and about my life not having to be concerned about the fairness of life, who did what to whom and will they pay for it. Life may not seem fair but it is just. THE LITTLE SOUL & THE SUN My spirit brother David recommended a wonderful book to me years ago that offers a beautiful perspective of the purpose of villains in our lives. Written by "Conversations With God" author, Neale Donald Walsch, the book is entitled "The Little Soul & The Sun." Someone on YouTube has read and recommended the book here: The Little Soul and The Sun BEAUTY RITUAL Pat's mother has a practice of never going to bed with unforgiveness in her heart. Tonight when you retire from the day think about who you can forgive today before your head hits the pillow? Once you have them in mind, use my forgiveness mantra: "God has sent me nothing but angels and teachers. So I forgive you because I know who you really are." YES! Powerful right? Let's create a ripple of peace, love and forgiveness together by tweeting and sharing this post with The Forgiveness Mantra: "God has sent me nothing but angels and teachers. So I forgive you because I know who you really are." ♡ ☆ ♀ Akua Day 14 of 9/13 Moons Waxing Gibbous |
