What's this about "Megan's Knees?" Currently I'm "out of shape" but in yesterday's dance class I can STILL drop it real low and bring it back up. Yep, and our youngest daughter is twenty-eight. Even back in 2013 I was talking about keeping your body supple enough to pop those knees up and down. I was saying that if you could do the Pop, Lock & Drop dance you were in good shape. Remember? Have you heard of that song/dance? Here's a clip of me doing the dance: Pop, Lock & Drop It! How do I keep my knees supple?
I drink an anti-inflammatory concoction every day that keeps me agile, limber, and super bouncy. Inflammatory foods tend to make us stiff and achy. So I make it a point to consume anti-inflammatory foods daily as well as be mindful about avoiding joint-stiffening foods like: white sugar, white flour, white starches to begin with. Here the recipe for special daily concoction that contributes to my knees staying supple: Click the color links to see what I use. 1 dropper full of 3000 mg Thymoquinone [Nigella Sativa: Black Seed Extract, not oil] or 1 dropper full of my Cannibinoid Cocktail "Entourage." I read a funny post on social media the other day.
It asked a question: How many of you had a baby, got a pet or bought an air fryer in 2020? ?? I inherited a pet at the end of 2019 and can't imagine how I would have gotten through without my little protector. Since the pandemic I know most of us have done our best to be comforted during so many unknown factors. One thing I'm certain of is that I'm bulletproof to becoming ill with a cold, flu or virus. This is the protocol I follow and have shared with my own family. None of us has been ill during this pandemic. This must be the guiding mindset of your daily regimen: C E R T A I N T Y i.e. N O F E A R Avoid and disengage any incoming information, energy, environments that cultivate or instill fear. This is a time for mental toughness. You've got to Michael Jordan your opponent. Before every game MJ envisioned his victory. All begins in the Spirit and mind before it manifests. 1. E A T L I F E Inflammation is the underlying root of almost all illnesses. Always avoid inflammation causing foods: White refined sugar, white rice, pasta, wheat, white flour, table salt, dairy, msg, soda drinks, fruit drinks. Gluten free flour is fine. Search "anti-inflammatory foods" list online and "anti-inflammatory herbs." Incorporate these into your daily diet. Try to be at least 80% plant-based and eat things closest to natural as possible. 2. H Y D R A T E with one gallon of spring water every day. Many of us are chronically dehydrated. You'll notice more energy and it's been found that sometimes high blood pressure is due to dehydration. I set an alert on my phone to drink at least 10.5 oz each hour for twelve hours. 3. E X E R C I S E Move your body daily to the point of sweat. Dance, Clean the house, walk, run, every day. You'll have more energy and sleep better. Even if it's just 5 to 10 minutes a day. Consistency is what matters. 4. R E S T Get deep R.E.M. sleep as often as possible. Most people have no idea how important consistent and uninterrupted deep sleep is to good health and longevity. 5. L A U G H Take a moment to not take things so seriously. 6. B R E A T H E Breathe deeply so that your nervous system returns to maintenance mode so that you will digest your food efficiently. Heru Ofori-Atta of Herbal Results created this protocol in the times of a pandemic. I've personalized and updated this protocol as more information has become available. A. A. 10,000 IU of Vitamin D3 + K2 daily whether you feel sick or not. [Me and mom use the HerbalResults brand]: CLICK TO ORDER Real SUNshine doesn't hurt either. The Moment You Begin To Feel Common Cold or Flu Symptoms: B. Oral RINSE and GARGLE with hydrogen peroxide, Listerine or Betadine for one minute three times a day for five days then swab your nostrils using a swab saturated with hydrogen peroxide. C. 50 mg of Zinc 3 times per day after a meal. The liquid form of Zinc I take enables my body to absorb almost 100% of it. here's a video about the benefits of zinc
D.
A Zinc Ionophore such as Olive Leaf Extract [Me and mom use the HerbalResults brand: CLICK TO ORDER], Black Seed Extract [Nigella Sativa], Artemisia Annua i.e. Sweet Wormwood, Quercetin [Onion Extract], Turmeric, Green or Black tea extract. Use the recommended dosage on the bottle at least 2 times per day. E. 2,000 MG (2 Grams) of Liposomal Vitamin C daily. I also like to drink Rose Hips Infusion which is very high in Vitamin C. F. Rub essential oils like Tri-Remedy and/or Frankincense on the bottom of your feet every fifteen minutes for three hours, then very thirty minutes for three hours, then every hour until you feel better. This protocol will oxygenate your body. G. Follow steps A-F for 5-7 days. If you have questions about what brands we are taking or anything else comment below or message me. Dearheart don't wait until there's a crisis before taking the steps to make sure you're well. We need you.

I've shared my daily protocol with many of you privately as well as publicly from the onset. After last night's webinar I'm adding one more crucial step [The Five-Day Viral Shut Down] as well as what to do if you've taken the "jab." We need you well and on your ministries. Don't wait 'til a crisis to do what you need to do. We really are in this together. The Five-Day Viral Shut-Down 1. Oral RINSE and GARGLE with hydrogen peroxide, Listerine or Betadine for one minute three times a day for five days then swab your nostrils using a swab saturated with hydrogen peroxide. 2. I would take 50 mg of Zinc and two of the following zinc ionophores: quercetin, turmeric, olive leaf extract, black seed extract, sweet wormwood artemisia annua as directed. 3. 30K IU of Vitamin D. Then I would consider Ivermectin if these symptoms don't clear up. It's best to do what you can before needing to go to the hospital. If you got the jab: If you don't suffer adverse effects you are fortunate. The "jab" stimulates spike proteins. Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche says that eventually those that took the jab are likely to develop autoimmune illnesses which may show up in a year, two, three, four. ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DIET + ANTI-INFLAMMATORY HERBS I would cut out inflammatory foods because the side effects will be based on inflammation: White sugar, white rice, white flour, white sugar/high fructose corn syrup drinks otherwise you'll be feeding the problem. Then I'd take anti-inflammatory herbs like: olive seed extract, black seed extract (nigella sativa), turmeric then activated charcoal to get rid of some of the effects of the jab. The pure carbon is going to bind on to any type of medication and clear that up. Heavy metal poisons are also something to contend with so cilantro is the best thing I know of to deal with heavy metal poisoning. Moringalantro is a product I personally use that combines moringa and cilantro. If you've been given Remdesivir First of all, you're fortunate if your kidney hasn't shut down. I would take activated charcoal to clear out the medication. then take olive leaf extract to repair kidneys. Ivermectin is an important piece. I would visit this website to obtain. photo: pinterest | Have you ever had hibiscus tea? The first time I'd ever heard of it was from a beautiful Trinidadian man, but he called it "sorrel" and that it was popular to drink during the Christmas holiday season, a good detoxifier and blood cleanser (which is key for beautiful skin). After some research, I found out it's also known as hibiscus and that West Africans (Senegalese) call it bissap, Persians call it Gul e Khatmi, Mexicans call it agua de jamaica, Hondurans flor de jamaica, Indians orhul, Ghana soobolo, Egypt & Sudan karkadé (كركديه) and in Jamaica and Trinidad sorrel. |
So as I write this, I'm sipping on a glass of purple hibiscus like wine this morning. I haven't had a cup of sorrel in a while and am reminded of the laundry list of über-beauty and health benefits (gorgeous skin, hair growth, weight release, boosted energy) of this powerful plant used in various ways: tea, paste, dried herb, blossoms in salads. Check it.
Great Source of Potassium + Great For The Heart
Potassium is an essential mineral as a vasodilator.
A Diuretic + Beneficial For The Kidneys
a bit of a kidney flush as your urine takes toxins, fats, salts, water with it.

Perfect during the cold winter months.
Vitamin C-Rich Immune System & Collagen-Building
Vitamin C is a vital molecule for skin health.
High Iron i.e. Energy + Hair Grower
If you suffer from anemia, iron's been known to resuscitate the oxygen in your blood as well as boost your energy and hair growth.
High Antioxidant + Anti-Cancer Properties
Skin protecting and regenerating while known to kick the butt of those cancerous mutant cells.

A godsend for keeping the eyes healthy and the skin beautiful.
Calcium-Rich and Bone-Fortifying
Strong bones, teeth and joint health anyone?
Weight-Release Inspiring & Fiberous
If you know me, I always speak of keeping that colon clean for beautiful skin. This fiber-rich flower will keep it movin'.
DON'T OVER-DO-IT WARNING: Consume in moderation, sorrel/hibiscus contains the toxin, oxalic acid. I would use in conjunction with a cleanse every now and then.
How To Prepare Jamaican Sorrel Tea
- Bring water to a boil.
- Place sorrel, ginger and cloves into boiled water.
- Boil for 2 minutes, turn heat off.
- Cover and allow to steep for 12 to 24 hours.
- Strain and sweeten to taste.
- Add rum or wine if desired.
- Serve cold, on ice.

The scene . . . Dancing in my seat on the bed listening to a Billy Joel musical odyssey while at the moment "Don't Ask Me Why" plays at a "hope the neighbors can't hear it" level. The oil diffuser is diffusing a citrus/rose concoction I made throughout the bedroom. Self-talk: "a lot of folks still know you as a makeup artist so they're expecting to read about how to do a smoky eye and what lip color you're rockin' this week, not this spiri-philosophical stuff." Self said to Self: "Oh well. Beautiful is as beautiful thinks, feels and does. Keep doin' your thing gorgeous. That's your job." |
We can't even pretend not to notice all the death around us in the world. It's like there's a big party happening in another realm and people are quickly making their exit to get there.
As a little girl, my relationship with death was knowing that when people died they would be buried underground in a casket. What a scary thought in my young mind. Surely nothing I'd have to deal with anytime soon. But it created an uncomfortable feeling about dying until recently . . .
DEATH? NAH
The idea of death isn't what it used to be to me as a young girl, it's nothing to run from or be afraid of when you see life metaphysically; that we are co-creators of our experience here and "there" and that we have freewill to power that experience. I'm not leaving this physical realm until I choose to. (Yup. You did indeed hear my "black" woman sass.) When I hear that someone has "died," if they were close to me or influential in my life, it's more that I will miss their physical presence in this Earth realm.
I don't see it as some tragic thing unless it was through tragic or painful means that they left this realm. On some level I believe that we approve the experiences that we have because perhaps the soul, the God force within desires to experience the human contrast from it's omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent being of nothingness. Make sense?
Our attachment to life kind of goes away when we discover that EVERY thing is life, there's no such thing as death just the transformation of form. We are but particles of energy and energy is not created nor destroyed it just transforms it's expression. Hmmm . . .
. . . just my theory inspired by much experience, observation and clues given by others. Abraham (the non-physical consortium channeled through Esther Hicks) offers that physical death can be one's desire to re-emerge into life freshly or to express in the non-physical realm. I've wondered if the soul that was Bob Marley has re-emerged and what he's up to. Could it be we never truly die, we just transform form, like relationships?
MY DEMON. MY ANGEL.
We come together. We part company. But our presence in that person's life and their presence in ours never goes away. They become part of our beautiful soul ecology, even if the experience or their presence brought pain or dishonored you. The gift of your co-mingling is the wisdom you gained or the contrast of what you desire to have you desire and manifest another experience. Our apparent demons become our unlikely angels.
Like King Alobar in the novel "Jitterbug Perfume" going through extensive lengths to discover the secret of longevity or August Wilson's film character Troy in "Fences" in a duel with death, people fear it, avoid it and run away from it. Seems though the faster you run from death, aging, anything for that matter, it will chases you down until you get to see that it was all an illusion because there is only life and the transformation of it.
Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Luke: 17:33
GIVE ME A REASON TO LIVE
I've noticed often, but not always, partners who have been together a long, long time will pass away shortly after their departed beloved. I've also read that many die shortly after they retire from their life's work. ("Just The Way You Are" is playing now....love that song.)
Realizing this, when my mother retired from forty-seven years of being an educator in the area of Life Skills for young people, I was focused on inspiring her to create a future that she was excited to live into.
The origins of this note was inspired by a dear si"star" who is part of our SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES Facebook community. She messaged me that she was in the hospital in a life or death situation. Of course, I honor her choice to be here with us or to graduate to another realm, however I wanted to encourage her to focus on an exciting future that she could live into.
A FUTURE TO LIVE INTO
While being present is the key, I'm CLEAR on the necessity of having a future to live into. Having something you look forward to, something you're excited and passionate about that has you pop out of the bed each morning. Something that becomes Your Greatest Love Affair. "When you give up your dream, you die." says Nick, Alex's love interest in "Flashdance."
Yeah, like that.
Having a future to live into builds our WILL to live. That fire in our belly that keeps us in action and powering through. Every one of us, desires to feel that our existence matters and is necessary to someone or something. When that is missing, perhaps we get overly wrapped up in the propaganda and distractions of the world, believing their REAL. (shaking my head) We really believe the hype sometimes. It's "Just An Illusion" (by Imagination.)
SERVE + CONNECT
I'm CLEAR that when we have a purpose through service and connection to people and the beauty of this world THIS is what creates LONGEVITY or LIFE. It's not about avoiding or fearing death but to LIVE, really LIVE, with passion, with intimacy, with brazen honesty ('cuz that people pleasing, ego-stroking really doesn't attract the best that life has to offer for us).
If you're ill, focus on healing and loving on your Self as well as what will be your next adventure in expressing your purpose through service. If you haven't discovered your purpose, just serve, provide a solution to someone's problem and you'll figure it out. Don't be stingy with the goodies. And you've got a lot of goodies mama/man.
The Death Train that soul's have been hopping on lately I feel is actually a RE-BIRTHING of humanity. "Exiting Through The Gift Shop" to enter the front door of a Golden Age in this Aquarian Age. Perhaps by providing a mirror of death, we're being presented with an apparent contrast inspiring us to REALLY live.
We can cheat death, because death doesn't REALLY exist. It only exist in language as everything does (a Landmark Education distinction). While we slip in and out of realms, domains and galaxies, we are eternal.
Focus on contributing to others, serving others and adding value to others on such a level that you're missed when you choose to slip out of this party into another.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate you.

Day 20 of 13/13 Moons
Waning Gibbous
During the Winter Solstice I got quiet for four days and four nights and emerged with twenty-one insights; some were reminders, some were epiphanies, others were ideas.
"If it don't fit, don't force it.
Just relax and let it go.
Just cause that's how you want it
Doesn't mean it will be so."
by Kellee Patterson
"If It Don't Fit Don't Force It"
Abraham, Bruce and Maya were spot on.
Abraham (Hicks) said "Go with the flow. No resistance. No struggle."
Bruce (Lee) said: "Be Like Water My Friend."
Maya (Angelou) said: "In everything give thanks."
I take them all to mean FLOW without resistance.
Because we live in an electromagnetic Universe, which is a feminine force of attraction, I, you, we get to practice working our power and magic through MAGNETISM.
Any energy, vibe, action, attention, focus becomes a "Yes!" in this Universal law of Cause and Effect i.e. Attraction. So even your "No!" is becomes a "Yes." There is no read of what you do and don't want, do or don't like only that you are giving it energy.
So giving thanks for it all, no matter what it looks like, feels like is again to be in the energy, vibe, action of allowing, no resistance, no struggle, but complete surrender and trust in the provision of the Universe, it's laws, our Spirit Allies and all of the good seeds we've planted for better. Giving thanks, being like water and going with the flow is an acknowledgment that regardless of appearances "All is well." It will turn out. It will benefit you in the long-run, even the short-run. Just flow and trust.
go with the flow.
Thanks for reading.

On Life's Rough Patches
"Life is just beautiful. It's taken such a nice path...
it's given me a lot of mental strength, even though certain patches were rough I think that gave strength.
So I took the strength instead of the negativity from that."
No Children but . . .
"I accept that this is how my life is so I'm going to take it as it's given to me and I think that has made me a really happy person."
On Getting Outside Your Circle
"I try to read, try to listen to people, see the world and their outlook.
This has changed me quite a bit. I see if you only stay in a circle you only know that, but if you move outside or travel and see the world, the people out there, you learn so much.
There's so much out there which we hardly know. We just know a bit of it."
Her Motto On Caring For Self First
"I take care of myself first. The "inner me" is what I think the beauty for every woman is and we need to take care of that part. If that's taken care of I think the outside beauty comes automatically and I truly believe in that. It's inside first. Working in cardiac rehabilitation, I believe in prevention. Whatever is in store for us, that will be there, whatever God has given us. But our duty is to take care of this body. We need to cherish that first and everything else will just follow.
Her Advice For Women To Be In Relationships Where They Feel Cherished & Appreciated
"First of all any marriage at the beginning needs a lot of work,
understanding, love, care - all that has to be done.
"You just have to stand up for each other's likings or give respect, space. I truly, truly believe in that. If my husband wants to do something I don't discourage him, I say "Please go for it!"
That way, he has his space and I have my space. I believe that's truly the success of the marriage.
I have not stopped him and then we have our time. There's his time, my time and our time. It can't just be our time, all the time. It's just not possible. I think everybody needs a space where you have to think how do you evolve as a person all along and not be there in the person's face all the time.
I think that's one of the best things I've found in our relationship which has worked just magically.
I tell my husband to "go enjoy and then you can come back and we'll be together. Whatever you want to do, go for it!" He gives me my space and I give him his space and then we do a lot of things together. We travel a lot, we talk about everything pretty much, our day-today things. That's probably what has kept our marriage going from my end, but if you ask my husband he would probably say a different thing."
On Resolving Conflicts, Confrontations, Confusion
"If there is anything that bothers us, we would talk and settle it right then and there that night and not carry it over and spoil the next day because today is today and tomorrow is tomorrow. If in this moment it didn't work, clarify it and get it over with, like today, not carry it over tomorrow and feel bad for it, argue about it, fight about it, nag about it. I just can't do that."
On The Benefits Of Arranged Marriage
"The difference about our gathering of friends is that it is a group of culturally like-minded
women coming together. The roots of it are important, that's where we all come from, where
the roots are much more stronger. That's probably where we're all coming from. We're all educated. It was an arranged marriage for us, as it was with my parents and grandparents.
You kind of accept the person completely, there's no choice after all. You have to adjust, forgive...that's what we've been taught. It goes both ways. We all have good men in our life
and that is a blessing. It's all give and take, that's what they taught us.
We are happy with what we have and we try to make what we have better all the time."
On Respect, Support & Hardship
"There's a lot of closeness because we are away from home and we like to hang onto each other because it's the only family you've got. When you're away from home you kind of understand the person more because you've gone through hardship a lot more without anybody's support. Because you're away from home the only support you have is your husband, or your wife. So you start building respect for each other over a period of time is what I've found. We've encouraged each other during hardships. We've seen in and out of each other without anybody else being there so I think that creates a very strong bond."
Thanks for reading and listening.

Whatever you are focused on during the Winter Solstice will be amplified during the next 365 days. For any goal, vision, desire you have, there is not a better time than the Winter Solstice, the longest nights of the year to cultivate your genius within by being still and listening.
The most Ancient Egyptians were legendarily advanced because they discovered the secret of cultivating the genius within. In the cocoon of darkness, dreams, visions and insight come forth like none other.
Although the Winter Solstice is over one month away, we know that the seeds for manifestation began yesterday on
11.11.16.
Dec. 19 to Dec. 25: Is the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the four days and four nights when the sun stops its progression are the shortest days (9 hr. and 8 min.) and longest nights (14 hr. 51 min.) of the year.
Winter Solstice: Wednesday, 21 December, 2016 at 5:44 AM EST
I've personally observed the Winter Solstice since 2012 and host an annual observance community on Facebook. A great deal of my observance practices were inspired by the work of Ra Un Nefer Amen of Ausar Auset Society.
Not on Facebook? Shoot me an email and I'll find a way to include you in the goings-on.
This year's observance will include key events:
1. Pre-Winter Solstice Cleanse/Detox beginning on Sunday, Nov. 27th
2. Global Conference Call
3. Celebration & Gathering at Metamoorphose Wellness Temple on Friday, Dec. 30th.
The basic protocol during these four days (Dec. 19 to Dec. 25) are the following:
1. Eat lightly.
2. When the Sun sets don't use any artificial light.
3. Quiet your environment.
4. Refrain from speaking.
and
5. L I S T E N
Be ready to write down what you hear and see.
When the Sun returns you will be the newborn Queen/King ready to serve, receive and shine.
This is the ULTIMATE preparation for a 2017 filled with Health, Love, Unity & Prosperity.

DIVIDED
Apparently a quarter of our country is celebrating the result, a quarter of our country is in shock, grief and feeling angry, while half of the country is perhaps frustrated, apathetic or altogether disconnected from politics.
No matter where you stand in any of those groups, it's time to, as Seth Godin writes in his blog today, "Roll Up Our Sleeves." Voting twice every few years isn't going to do the trick, nor is just balancing our chakras. This is a great time to really take ownership of our reality. What if each person treated this nation/planet and land as it were our own home? Like someone else isn't going to get the dishes and make the bed, we are.
No matter where you stand, the activities that we've been witnessing on this planet of late have been a mighty catalyst for bringing the ugliness and beauty out of us all to the surface. No matter how it appears, it's can be a beneficial thing because now we can REALLY get honest, have compassion, really dig in to do the work of healing.

Be compassionate and respectful, honoring the feelings and processes of your fellow citizens.
FEELING ANGRY?
Be committed to not violating another's right to the pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in your expression and process. Beneath anger there's always hurt, disappointment or even fear. Anger is completely valid and natural. Knowing that all illness and disease begin in the Spirit, the key is to express your anger, then move on. Like a child expresses his/her emotion and then pretty quickly moves on - we have an opportunity to express anger while taking note of the hurt/disappointment beneath it. The goal is to process the roots of your emotion and look for "the gift" in it, which could be an insight for change/transformation/renewal, added wisdom, etc. The goal is to use your anger a tool for growth and expansion then get back to having a light heart.
There's a quote from Buddha that I quite appreciate: "Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned."
FEELING FEARFUL or INSECURE?
I can definitely empathize with a feeling of uncertainty. My last note was about "F*ck Fear! Say Yes." It's important to keep a proper perspective of our true power to create our own reality. Every choice we make is creating our future on the microcosm and the macrocosm. You've got the power. Just know that a fearful or insecure person is a vulnerable person. We don't always make the best choices when we feel afraid or insecure. And sometimes even, others set up people to feel fear and insecure to take advantage of their feeling of vulnerability.
My Healing Prescription: BE. DO. HAVE.
To soothe and empower yourself, here are a few things you can "do."
- FIRST, BREATHE. When we are stressed, the best way to switch our bodies out of "fight or flight" mode is to breathe deeply. Breath through the nose and out of the nose to a slow count until you feel calm or relaxed again.
- GIVE THANKS for the opportunity you're being given to see what's what and transform it personally.
- PLACE the following "Love Languages" in order of importance to you: PHYSICAL TOUCH, WORDS OF AFFIRMATION, ACTS OF SERVICE, QUALITY TIME
- THIS will become your ACTION LIST: You're going to generously give yourself these expressions of love. For example: Get and give a hug, listen or read affirming messages/literature, make a plan to be creative and in action to serve, contribute, make a difference on the micro and macro levels, take time for yourself and your loved ones to just to BE and do what feels good to you.
- CONNECT with others and offer your physical touch, words of affirmation, acts of service and quality time to them.
We're all feeling the winds of transformation and hopefully the dismantling of all that doesn't work on this planet. How we navigate this era will depend on our consciousness and mindset from moment-to-moment, day-to-day keeping our eye on the prize without distraction. The future will reward those who are productive, who contribute to the lives of others, that can pierce through the illusion, see and move in the Source of Our True Power.
Speaking of the winds of transformation, the other day I was on a plane flying over Denver which is known to have choppy air. When the flight got uncomfortably turbulent, my si"star" friend held my hand and said "The plane is just dancing in the wind."

Day 12 of 11/13 Moons
Waxing Gibbous
My Mother, My Ancestors, My Daughters and Yours.
Through saying "Yes." this year I've:
- had an exciting love affair,
- launched a passion project,
- created some roots and a great workspace in my hometown once again,
- engaged in my family and friendships on a deeper level,
- hopped on a plane at the last minute to take advantage of a great opportunity,
- worked out like never before and transformed my body,
- while a bit of an introvert, I committed to sharing myself with you "mostly daily" through this online notebook
F*CK FEAR
How do I, you, we trust life, ourselves, others and not be in fear? At the end of this note, I've got a challenge for you.
When I think about the saying "Ignorance Is Bliss," it's a bit true. I did the most brazen things in my early twenties not because I was necessarily courageous but because I didn't know to have concerns, fears or hang ups. I walked into the offices of power players, laid out my vision and created enduring relationships. When I think about that girl, she's my muse, my rockstar.
YOU KNOW TOO MUCH
We get older, and consume way too much fear, lack and scarcity through the eyes of "grown-ups," media and our painful experiences.
REALITY CHECK
If I think about the fact that things ALWAYS work out, even when they don't, it reactivates that free-spirited adventurer within. Knowing that my highest good is always at hand, I can trust The Most High, the Universe, the Spirit Allies and my inner Oracle i.e. my Heart. Through being even more intentional about receiving and following-through with opportunities I've identified hidden layers of concerns, fears and hang ups that are just frankly out-dated and illogical. Those damn concerns, fears and hang ups of ours short circuit and block my/your/our ability to serve, share my/your/our gifts, wisdom and love with others.
OFF WITH YOUR HEAD
So . . . if we started or continued to ignore our monkey minds (survival-focused) and get into our hearts (not emotion, but our inspiration/passion) and be led by that - the magical and miraculous will continue/begin in our lives. In our SUPERWOMEN & GODDESSES culture, we believe (be + live): REAL superwomen think, feel and act with a mind that anything is possible and REAL goddesses inspire life in everything they touch. It's the only way if I/you/we are to really work the highest power and magic. So . . .
RIGHT NOW IDENTIFY . . .
at least one b*llshit concern, fear or hangup that you KNOW is illogical, challenge it and put it to eternal rest. It's our time to win, progress, and accomplish. Every accomplishment we make juices us up to create another and another and another. And not just accomplishment for accomplishment sake or our ego but the expression of our divinity, beauty and power within.
DO THIS.
I want you to:
- IDENTIFY: a) WHAT ILLOGICAL CONCERN, FEAR OR HANGUP THAT YOU ARE PUTTING TO REST and b) WHAT SMALL FEAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK. Then . . .
- TAG ME on social media (instagram: @akuaauset, facebook @akua auset or @*akua auset *) or email me ([email protected]) . . .
- TELLING ME about a) WHAT ILLOGICAL CONCERN, FEAR OR HANGUP THAT YOU ARE PUTTING TO REST and b) WHAT SMALL FEAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK.

Day 8 of 11/13 Moons
Waxing Crescent
Somehow, many of us are looking to gather the pieces of who we are, very much like Auset searched the Universe for the pieces of her husband Ausar's dismembered body after Set in an angry rage murdered and dismembered him. Eventually Auset did locate every piece of her beloved's body and the moment that she placed the final piece in it's proper place, Heru was born, the original Christ, the hero, the Enlightened One, the Awakened Soul. And like Ausar, once we are able to put all of our pieces together in alignment, the Christ, the Enlightened, the Awakened within is born.
KNOW THYSELF
Neophytes in their education to become Egyptian priests could study the ancient temples covered in inscriptions that included the command to "Know Thyself." This command is more popularly known to appear at the Temple of Delphi in Greece, and although not the author, Athenian philosopher Socrates is credited with this essential personal duty. For most of us, achieving this charge could take a lifetime, but it is the first order of business. Knowledge of Self brings peace, power, prosperity and provides a road map of continuity for our descendants to follow.
THE LABYRINTH TO SELF
There was a time when huemanity was not dominated by "white" supremacy and world domination, but peoples for the most part were left to express their perception of the universe, nature and the world around them. Although not the only part of the world where colonization has occurred, in the colonization of Africa specifically, the English and French organized that they colonize every other country so the people "next door" would be unable to communicate with the other and that is why there is a leap frog set-up of English and French speaking countries next to each other in the continent. Crazy right that people would go to such lengths to alienate people from each other? Even worse is the cultural loss of ancient texts, scrolls in the burning of the national library of Alexandria in Egypt by the historically accused army of Julius Caesar.
Today, when you think about what American culture is, it's really just become the pop culture created from the corporate monolith that has been unfolding for centuries and most recently through the "spin" of corporate media whose reach is worldwide. Instead of daughters and sisters learning about who they are, traditions and rituals from their mothers, grandmothers and aunties, we follow the style and trends of corporate-financed celebrities who exist not only for the expression of their art but for the profit orchestrated by the corporate monolith.
Enter the internet, which is open source, free and independent from the "Truman Show"-type social engineering. Although this truly democratic way of communicating, expressing, sharing is a beautiful thing in many ways, the damage of the agenda for world domination by the financiers of the world structure has been done. People think they have their own opinions but have actually been spoon fed ideology from a very young age through university and that ideology is seamlessly maintained in our daily news, TV shows and advertising. A call to critical thought of or opposition to these intimately held beliefs are met with a Stockholm Syndrome type response.
We are all attempting to reconstruct organic and essential personal cultures that are sweet, healing and resonant with our Spirit and Soul. However, it can get a bit murky in lieu of the programming we've forgone and continue to be exposed to with the agenda of world domination of the financiers of this era who have constructed our churches and religions, schools/universities, advertising/entertainment embedded with ideology that favors a male anglo homosexual agenda for power.
Language is so powerful because within language you'll find worldview. A great part of what some of us have lost is the power of our native tongues. Almost twenty years ago I desired to more closely align with the culture, traditions and language of my Ancestors (which is quite a mix) so I replaced what I could with the appropriate cultural expressions, traditions and rituals. I eventually went through medicine woman training and initiation as well various trainings in Ancient African spirituality as my nomadic Fulani bloodline originated in modern-day Sudan. What is still missing for me is to be fluent in my native tongues so it makes me appreciate my Hungarian si"star"-friend who still speaks her native language with her parents while they Skype or my former Ghanaian beloved who spoke his native tongue of "Twi" with his mother on the phone.
THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND
So something as simple as an "African-American" young woman reading a blog about awakening her witch, leads her into a query to find a word to express her desire to create her reality using her intention and rituals leads her to questioning if foreign cultural labels like "witch" and "spells" fit because somehow it just doesn't resonate on her soul level. Disconnected from her native tongue, traditions and culture it's awfully confusing.
WITCH
In my estimation, all girls and women have the ability to work power, magic and express the miraculous, when they learn to tap in and harness these powers. "Witch" is a Wiccan term for a female who possesses magical powers or can command supernatural forces. In my study decades ago of the English Wiccan religion I appreciated their pre-Christian connection and honoring of nature. It indicates a certain rhythm with Universal laws. If you haven't read the book "The Mists Of Avalon" or seen the film adapted from the book by author Marion Zimmer Bradley and interested in the time during King Arthur's Camelot when Christianity and honoring the Goddess co-existed, it's a fascinating read.
With the agenda of the Catholic church and those behind it: the wise woman, healer and seer have had a very tragic history which includes a holocaust of women and healers. It's funny that John Lennon actually penned a song "Woman Is The Nigger Of The World." The word "witch" for many has a great deal of negative stigma attached to it, while it's lovingly and proudly embraced by others. Similar to the word "nigger" or "nigga," the conversation and debate opens up a can of worms.
BEAUTIFUL JAMBALAYA
The beauty of our world is that we have at our fingertips a jambalaya of culture, tradition and ritual through food, fashion, art, etc. Is it assimilation, appropriation, adoption or alliance? At the end of the day, it is context and meaning that determine the expression and the way that one experiences a thing. To keep it simple and inclusive for me I recognize that first and foremost we are all connected as embodiments of divinity. From there our inquiry into who we are can go as simply or as comprehensively as we choose : biologically, historically, culturally, astrologically, vocationally, etc.
CHOICE
It may be empowering to one's personal journey back to Self to become familiar with and align with how they express and communicate their uniqueness through ancestral culture, tradition and ritual. On the other hand, perhaps we've lived many lives and bring to this life several influences and experiences that color how we resonantly express ourselves. Every human being has the right and free will to call themselves whatever the hell they choose. Our hidden treasures are waiting to be discovered if we only clear away the fog of foreign ideology and create from our essential voice. Always keep in mind the very first command to the neophytes of the Egyptian priesthood: "Know Thyself."
INjoy your adventure back to Self!

Day 2 of 11/13 Moons
New Moon
The Spirit of Chaos calls us to honor beingness and allowing of this moment.
There's a time for order and there's a time for chaos.
When we bring them together interdependently, there is a marriage which brings creation.
In every spiritual school of thought we are invited to walk in the beauty of balance.
The electromagnetic Universe (feminine) that we live in is governed by the universal law of Maat which brings order. Maat is an ancient goddess from the most ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) tradition. The Spirit of Maat represents order, truth, balance, harmony and justice. Maat has her laws (universal) and those laws have been interpreted by Tehuti, the god of wisdom mathematically (Maat). The most ancient Egyptians were guided by these laws in their daily 42 Declarations of Innocence. Apparently prior to foreign influences and invasion, the most ancient Egyptians maintained a Maatian civilization that lived in peace for thousands of years with no need for police. My friend Kajara NiaYaa NebtHet wrote a book called "Light As A Feather: 42 Laws of Maat For Children" on this topic for children.
I digress.
The bottom line is that being alarmed out of your sleep in the morning and popping out of bed to put out fires, meet deadlines and be pulled by someone else's train all day is not going to create a life that you deserve where you are cherished, appreciated and compensated on every level.
Before Michael Jordan ever stepped out on the court to perform the superhuman feats that he was able to do time and time again, he had a pre-game ritual. I perceive every day of my life as stepping out on the court to play so I also have a pre-game ritual. My "pre-game" ritual is based on the things that I require to be prepared to play at my highest capability and to perform superhuman feats that I'm able to do time and time again.
A couple of days ago, I hosted a LIVE Facebook event and the women on the call unanimously admitted to putting EVERYONE else's requirements and desires before their own requirements and desires. Some might see forsaking your own needs as being a saint or sweet. Being a martyr for others may give you saint status, but at the end of the day it doesn't work because it's unsustainable. At some point you will burnout and crash. And holistically speaking, in every case (wife, mother, employee, entrepreneur) we set the standard of how others will cherish, appreciate and compensate us as well as be influenced as to how they will conduct their own lives. How we care for ourselves and live our lives has a domino effect on our relationships, families, community and culture. Women are the enduring example and first teacher in every context we exist in.
If you expect to live in an environment where each person is cherished and appreciated in their relationships, as well as be paid top dollar for their abilities then YOU'VE/WE'VE got to set the standard.
On Sunday, 6th November, from 2 to 4 PM, I'll be hosting a FREE Workshop: "How To Create Your Daily Healing Beauty Ritual." If you would like to attend in-person or online, please send me an email ([email protected]) or text (312.566.7506) as soon as possible, NOW.
Until then begin to GET CLEAR on what it is you require daily to really perform at your best everyday and get it in BEFORE heading out to save the world.

Day 24 of 10/13 Moons
Waning Crescent
Yes?
No?
Well either way, by the end of this note my goal is that you will
identify where you fit in with this rule and where you want to be with this rule.
Throughout my life I have observed to see if this rule is actually true in real life circumstances. I must say in my experience that it is not only true, but it actually seems as the public is becoming more and more INFLUENCED by mass media, "group think" and the social engineering that has and is occurring, the disparity between the two numbers seem to be even larger.
According to The Guardian in October of 2015: "Half of the world's wealth is in the hands of less than 1% of the population."
According to Inequality.org in 2015: 71% of the world who have under 10K in assets only hold 3% of the wealth while 84.6% of the wealth is held by 8.1% of the global population.
Well my focus in this note isn't only about wealth in regard to tangible and cash assets but in the the consciousness, mindset, worldview, habits and behavior that creates wealth. Wealth being defined for me as being able to choose to life how you spend your day, your life and that you get to live as you envisioned and dreamed it, fulfilling on the things you said that you'd like to do and experience. Even if it turns out differently than you planned, you feel happy and fulfilled in your life for the most part. That is wealth.
So it's pretty clear that wealth, happiness and fulfillment is somehow connected to consciousness, mindset, worldview, daily habits and behavior?
In the culture of this moment, we tend to celebrate the individuals that through tough odds were able to persevere, relent and break through the obstacles set in their path. In sports, entertainment, business, even health and longevity, we call those that have accomplished what most couldn't or wouldn't, heroic and lift them up as celebrity.
I myself am incredibly attracted to and marvel at people who are bold, brave, and consistent in the expression of their gifts, talents and abilities or the pursuit of a goal or a vision. It's EXTREMELY attractive. If everyone chose to be bold, brave and consistent I suspect that the "wealth" gap would be even smaller; the gap between those that are winning in and loving their lives and those who as Les Brown calls it "living in quiet desperation."
I've been involved in so many groups, courses, initiations, etc. where everyone begins excited, committed and on board (100%) and then after a week there are some that drop off and then as time goes on even more drop off leaving the few consistent ones to complete the envisioned task alone at the finish line and it's not even 20%, but more like 1%. Sometimes it's not even that the task was done particularly well, but the fact that they crossed the finish line and didn't give up or quit.
Are you part of the 80 or 20? . . . the 99% or the 1%?
Either way it's fine, but are you where you want to be?
Whether it's how you take care of yourself by tending to your health, your relationships,
fulfilling on your life's purpose, gaining a certain level of education,
will you stay in the game until the end or will you just quit?
This world celebrates and rewards the people who cross the finish line.
Who will you be?
The 80 or the 20?

If you're in MY tribe and orbit I'm sure you have: Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, The Oracle, Agent Smith. When I first saw the film I found it fascinating that The Oracle, "THE prophet who helps free the humans with her foresight and wisdom" was located deep in "the hood." The Black Divine Feminine leading people back to themselves, their source of power is nothing new, but is in Maat (order). It's like going home to Mama to restore yourself.
HEALING WISDOM OF AFRICA
What I learned from Malidoma Some in his book "The Healing Wisdom of Africa," is that people in the West suffer because they don't have four things: 1) who they are 2) why they are here 3) a community to affirm those gifts and 4) a community with with to share those gifts. If every human being had those four things in place, as well as nourishment from high vibe food, we would experience a whole different kind of reality. I know because it's been done before and it exists even today.
GIVE
On the last New Moon I received an oracle to "GIVE," and so I am going to obey Spirit and have begun to follow that direction by opening up my private beauty bungalow and wellness temple to the community with regular hours. I've been looking at properties to purchase with land but I felt let's just get started where we are and just build from there. After years of serving our community through various programs and courses, we now have a physical location where METAMOORPHOSE community and invited guests are welcome to restore, heal and amp up with our next level practitioners, artists and mystics. Sip tea and take beauty shots while shopping to restock your beauty and medicine bag. Yesterday was the first day open to the community. Most of you reading ARE outside of Chicago, so we'll be hosting LIVE streaming courses and events so don't feel left out.

Waning Gibbous
Dance Tribute To PRINCE

IT'S SOOOOOOO HARD . . . Aside of swimming in quicksand, beginning to work out or otherwise move your body after being sedentary is one of the hardest things to do. But fortunately once you get moving, your body and those feel good hormones make you want to keep going. It's addictive. So the goal is to get into that physiological space. All I (you) need is one good work out and it's like my (our) body (will) awaken(s) from its deep sleep. |
Over the last four years I put on about fifteen to twenty pounds. Until then I'd been pretty much the same size since high school. In the last couple of months I've released ten to fifteen pounds, 2.5 inches off my hips and waist, and my back fat is gone! I knew something had to give. I didn't recognize myself. I NEVER had back fat until the holidays last year. That had to go! People have always said how small I am, then it stopped. I just recently heard it again. Thank goodness.
DRUGS & COMFORT
I figured that the weight gain had a great deal to do with comforting myself during these years of major transition (empty nest, moving, career transformation, etc.). Walking into the unknown without family close by and the feeling of isolation drove me to reach out for yummy comfort in the form of food. I don't drink coffee or alcohol, smoke cannabis, or otherwise do any kind of drugs. Those things have no appeal to me whatsoever, never have really . . . but have you met Lola Yum Yum, my alter ego? "What ever Lola wants, Lola gets." [Sara Vaughn]
FOOD: MY LOVER
Speaking of harmful drugs, when I descend into my junky food craving, my pantheon of lovers are diverse: that plain donut, crispy bacon, a properly made pizza and why did my formerly veggie sister take me to Uncle J's BBQ over the holidays last year? Although I've never proclaimed myself to be a vegan or vegetarian, I eat a pretty life-honoring, plant-based menu and went about sixteen years without eating chicken, beef or pork. Just because I felt better eating this way, but "Yo! . . . " months later, I'm STILL thinking about how damn good those ribs were and I'm not even a rib girl. Did I mention how good they were?
TA-TA BACK FAT!
So how did I release those inches off my body and melt that back fat?
I MOVED MY ASS. Yup! Every day for about thirty minutes to two hours for twenty-eight days, give or take a few days because I got sick (detox symptoms).
I knew that just cleansing wasn't going to melt and sculpt my body the way I desired so I followed a fitness regimen by Tracy Anderson who I respect because she has revolutionized body transformation for women by focusing on the accessory muscles. This was the first time in my life I worked out at this level of intensity and regularity. Initially I slept a lot and it was time consuming but the results are so worth it. I'm back in clothes I couldn't get over my hips. I feel like myself again. WHOO HOO!!!
A combination of cardio and muscle strengthening was the key. Cardio melts the fat while muscle strengthening sculpts your body. You require BOTH to get a toned and slim look. I ended up taking a month break due to illness i.e. healing and a million other things (thank goodness I maintained my weight release and size). I'm Day Two into starting up again to finish powerfully and to get back on the beautiful rhythm I was on. I'm an inch away from reaching my goal.
BLAST YOUR ARSE OFF THE COUCH!
Since people love tips, tricks and hacks ;o), here are some of the things that help me to get moving again after being kidnapped by the couch.
- CREATE A "FYAH!" PLAYLIST: Think about all the songs that when you're at a club or in the car make you break out into dance without thinking about it. The more aggressive, "making-you-feel-badass," the better. I couldn't believe some of the vulgar songs on my playlist, they make me blush every time I listen, but somehow the grit makes me move harder. Create two or three playlists that you can rotate so you don't get bored with your playlists. Make them at least forty minutes in length so you have enough music to last your longest dance session.
- POST YOUR MUSE: I have this picture of Naomi Campbell's legs that inspired me when I first started my 30-Day program, but when I saw Kanye's "Fade" video featuring Teyana Taylor, I was really inspired. We have similar bodies so it felt within the realm of possibility. I found that having that video playing as I worked out, kept me movin'.
- JUST DANCE: Yup! It's like what an appetizer is to a meal. Just put on that "FYAH" playlist and move your arse Beautiful. Go for AT LEAST five, ten or fifteen minutes and continue to build until you get to forty-five minutes a day which is a boot-camp level of activity. You should be wet with sweat before you stop. The sweat is the big deal because you're detoxing and releasing at that point. The key is to dance non-stop so dance classes aren't the best because it tends to be stop and start. Get moving by dancing and you'll activate those addictive pleasure-feeling hormones within.
- DRINK & EAT GREEN: Somehow when I start working out I crave healthy foods, green foods. My body goes into high performance, high vibe mode and it's intelligence calls forth LIFE-GIVING FOOD, LIVING food, food with the God principle. Funny, I have no taste for junk when I begin moving my body.
- WORK + PREPARE FOR AN EVENT: Perhaps the MOST important driving force of your success is to have an upcoming event or happening that will give you a sense of urgency. Whether you're preparing for a hot date, a reunion, a vacation, a party, a birthday, etc. Having a date that you're working toward is a very powerful pull.
These five actions are JUST to get you off the couch, to put down the bag of chips and signal to your body something different is going down. Once you finally get your body moving again, I highly recommend checking out Tracy Anderson's work. You can sample her a bit through YouTube but I would go ahead and invest in her book The 30-Day Method. I'll be incorporating her fitness program with my Organic Beauty Detox this fall throughout my annual Winter Solstice Observance and the 2017 New Year. If you're interested in joining us reach out to me on Facebook or email me: [email protected]. We'll be meeting weekly at my Wellness Temple (which I'll tell you about tomorrow) and yes we'll be LIVE STREAMING for those of you not in Chicago.

The planet doesn't need saving, we do."
- Xiuhtezcatl Martinez, 14 year old Indigenous Environmental Activist (Earth Guardians) and Hiphop Artist
Sometimes our body will get sick so that we are FORCED to take that time out for ourselves; time to be still and cleanse the crap out of our bodies. Getting sick is unnecessary and preventable if you'll just be a good lover to her. So let's get mentally still and detox before nature dominates our situation.
Here's what I do:
- BREATHE: Deep-controlled breathing is a powerful tool you have for immediately shifting out of anxiety, stress i.e. "fight or flight mode," harnessing your focus and concentration. It's an often overlooked superpower. Here's a really old video I produced eight plus years ago featuring Kemetic Yoga Master Yirser Ra Hotep teaching deep-controlled breathing: CLICK HERE TO VIEW NOW
- MENTALLY FAST NIGHTLY (OR LONGER): Every night you're going on a mini-fast from the time you retire for the evening 'til you arise in the morning. Honor this time as a sacred fast to be in stillness, restoration and receptive to Divine messages. Turn off your phone. Refrain from watching any TV, film, social media, conversation, music (only relaxing instrumental music if you must or a guided meditation.), etc. Refrain from speaking and engage in silence.
- DE-RADIATE: Remove your computer and any electronics from the bedroom as they are creating EMR (electromagnetic radiation)/EMFs (electronic magnetic frequencies) which can disturb our brain function/nervous system, heart function and digestion. I keep black tourmaline and sodalite around me to absorb these frequencies. I've got shungite on my list to add to these crystals as well. The Russians apparently use it strategically for illness and harmful radiation. Shower before bed in filtered lukewarm water (get a shower head) to neutralize positive ions from your body. Sticking your feet in soil accomplishes this as well (neutralizing positive ions).
- CLEANSE + DETOX MY BODY: The number one flush and solvent on the planet is water. Keep a glass and pitcher of spring or glacial water by your bed so that soon after waking up you will drink a glass of water. Adding lemon and/or lime will alkalinize and neutralize the toxins within. My Organic Beauty Detox "program" has been known to clarify thinking, bring a feeling of general well-being, peace and heighten intuition.
- GREEN UP! Make a habit of drinking at least one green juice a day (organic, non-GMO parsley, cucumber, celery, cilantro, etc.) as well as one big green leafy salad and you can top it with my yummy B-vitamin rich "mental health salad dressing." CLICK FOR THE RECIPE NOW
- MEDIA DETOX: I'll always remember a sermon where my pastor said to be careful of what you allow your eyes to see because your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference and it is forever stored in your subconscious mind. Carolyn Myss reminds us of what our Ancestors knew and that all disease begins in the Spirit. Feed your Spirit & mind goodness through the media/conversation you consume. Detox from media/conversation which implants the vibration of: vanity, lust, greed, anger, laziness, jealousy and gluttony into your consciousness. Look for themes that celebrate the virtues of humility, kindness, patience, diligence, charity, temperance, and chastity. Chastity? Yes. There is a time and place for everything.

you do not have to worry about his actions.
- Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Author, Historian, Journalist
This weekend I was immersed in the glow of LOVE. It's funny that sometimes you can temporarily lose sight of the fact that love n'goodness really does reign supreme, if you're distracted by the conversation of pop culture, commercialism, mass media (the Big 6/3/10: six (major TV networks), three (major record labels) and ten (major film studios)), and the masses parroting the same on social media. |
Love, not true love because if it's not true it's not love. Not unconditional love because if there are conditions then it's not love. It's simply L.O.V.E. We water down the power of the word using this word for everything that we find temporarily pleasing to our senses. The priest said something my mother has said repeatedly when I was growing up, don't use the word love for inanimate objects, etc. She was committed that I didn't use the word without regard for its power. On this beautiful Moon ruled Monday, the following passage is a great way to tap into the heart of things and begin this week in the high consciousness of love. After all, love begets love and it is who we truly are.
13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not [a]love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing. 3 If I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body [b]to be burned, but do not have love, it does me no good at all.
4 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. 7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].
8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part [for our knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete]. 10 But when that which is complete and perfect comes, that which is incomplete and partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God].13 And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.
